Deidra Lockhart, MA, LMHC, C-Eagala, CSAT, was born and raised in Illinois and has been working in this field for 15+ years in residential and outpatient settings with both the adult and adolescent population. Having had recent experience in PATH Equine therapy, she is EAGALA Certified.
She attended the University of Illinois at Springfield and received her Master’s Degree in Human Services, with a concentration in Alcohol and Substance Abuse. She has recently completed a second Master’s program in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. After Deidra’s personal journey with addiction and recovery, she knew her path was paved to help others with her experiences. One of her many talents is community organization through volunteer work where she has initiated many neighborhood activities including environmental clean-up and work with the homeless. Prior to receiving her Master’s, Deidra worked as a case manager for HIV/AIDS and was involved in working with victims of human trafficking.
Deidra operates from the heart and manages to balance her work life by spending time with her 17 grandchildren. She loves to help women who are struggling and has dedicated her life to this work not only in the treatment field but also in her personal life.
