Kajal Michelle is a South Florida native whose teaching history spans 25 years. She became a student of yoga in 1996, having received her initial yoga teacher certification through Sri Naranda Yoga For Youth in 1998. In 2004, she became a certified Callanetics® instructor, a practice dear to her heart, developed by the late Callan Pinckney.
Over the years, Kajal has studied with many acclaimed teachers, including Yogi Amrit Desai, a Master in the Art of Living, his daughter Kamini Desai, Ph.D., Eric Walrabenstein of Yoga Pura, and Yogi Mark Roberts of South Florida. She has received certification in the foundational and advanced level training of I AM Yoga™and I AM Yoga Nidra™(2008 through 2016). In addition, Kajal served on the teacher training faculty of the Amrit Yoga Institute in Salt Springs, Florida, from 2016 through 2020. She has been serving those on the path of recovery since 2017, having done sober companion work prior to coming on board to share the practices of Yoga and Yoga Nidra at The Guest House in 2020.
Kajal has a unique ability to take her students on a guided exploration into the dense, often avoided areas of the body and tap into the still, silent space that resides within each one of us. Her teaching style is intuitive, and the energetic quality of her voice cultivates a space that allows people to feel safe to explore their interior dimension, both on and off the mat, which is an integral component to healing trauma at its root in the physical body.
In her free time, she enjoys live music, dancing, and spending quality time with those she loves most. She currently resides in the Ocala National Forest with her husband and two kitties.
