Kati Mabrouk brings a dynamic and compassionate approach to her role as outpatient coordinator at the Guest House. Her career in the mental health field began in 2017, where she worked as a behavioral health technician for a program dedicated to helping adolescent boys affected by dysfunctional family systems. Kati has also worked as an office manager at a psychiatry practice and as a sober companion, giving her unique insights into the processes that underlie addiction, trauma and healing.
Kati’s passion for substance use recovery is deeply personal and professional. Having found and maintained long-term sobriety herself, she draws from her own experiences and those of family and friends affected by mental health and substance use issues.
Her dedication is fueled by witnessing the profound moments of change in others — the “lightbulb moments” of realization and the visible return of hope and life in someone’s eyes.
At The Guest House, Kati serves as outpatient coordinator, but she is also involved in admissions, coordinating intakes, facilitating didactic groups and assuring that clients’ needs are met throughout each stage of recovery.
Outside of work, Kati is an avid reader, finding joy in the pages of a good book. She also cherishes spending time with her friends and two boys, and shopping (often for more books). For her, the perfect day off is spent in a cozy reading spot with a hot cup of tea.
