Rick brings 35 years of clinical and administrative experience to Guest House Ocala. His career began in in the field of addictions taking him to England where he worked as a counselor. After returning to the United States he pursued and received a Master’s Degree in Health and Human Studies Administration while continuing to work as a clinician and also on the payor side of behavioral health. His Administrative experience includes executive-level leadership, strategic planning, marketing, and business development, budgeting, grant writing, third party reimbursement, professional peer review, teaching and training in both the for-profit and non-profit sector.
Rick’s interest turned to trauma after working with a group of professional men who were writing a book on helping men with trauma recovery. “I was introduced to Judy Crane and started my quest for a better understanding of trauma and its impact on those suffering from addiction and mental health. “After completing my trauma certification through Spirit 2 Spirit Trauma Training with Judy Crane and Tom Pecca, I was able to identify my own trauma”. Rick comes with a fresh approach and hopes to use his many talents to contribute to the mission and vision of the Guest House.
