Billy Beagan moved to central Florida in 2005, bringing with him many decades of experience in recovery. Billy worked as a therapist for a nationally recognized trauma facility in North Central Florida for 17 years. He then joined an IOP/OP program with a sober living component as a therapist for a year.
He is now pleased to be working at the Guest House OP/IOP. He graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor’s degree in humanservices/addiction studies and has his Master’s in mental health. In addition, Billy has a background in psychology and has completed his certification requirements to become an Addictions Professional. Billy studied under Judy Crane to become a certified trauma therapist.
Billy’s natural therapeutic instinct allows him to engage clients quickly while maintaining a healthy atmosphere for intensive work around trauma, underlying issues, and addiction. For many years, he has brought the reality of making recovery work to clients through practical, street-smart expertise. Billy’s 40 years of experience and fundamental knowledge of 12-step recovery and 20 years working with PTSD resolution, combined with his deep compassion for clients, have made him a tremendous asset to the healing work at The Guest House.
