“Unlike centers that add wellness as an afterthought, The Guest House has woven functional and integrative medicine into its care model from the very beginning. This whole-person approach restores balance in body, mind, and spirit.” — Dr. Elyaman

Substance use and trauma both impact levels and function of various systems in the body. Before we can begin treating these issues, we need to address what’s going on inside the body. That’s why, at The Guest House Ocala, recovery goes beyond traditional therapy. From the day our doors opened, functional and integrative medicine has been a foundation of our care.
This vision is led by our Functional Medical Director, Dr. Yousef Elyaman, MD — a board-certified internist and one of the first physicians certified by the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). He has been with The Guest House since day one, ensuring our program is built around root cause healing: identifying and correcting the underlying physical and emotional imbalances that stand in the way of lasting recovery.
