You likely take your breath for granted most of the time. Breathing is usually an involuntary process; while you can control it if you want to, we spend most of our time inhaling and exhaling without really thinking about it. But your breath controls the amount of oxygen in your body, which is an integral part of energy, movement and mental clarity. Your brain, organs and muscles rely on oxygen to function to their fullest — that is part of the mechanisms that cause you to breathe harder when you exercise, or yawn when you are tired. The ancient arts of meditation and yoga utilize this relationship between your breath, your body and your mind by employing methods of controlled breathing in their practice. Many participants in these exercises report a sense of open-mindedness and rejuvenation following each session and as a long-term benefit.

Conscious Connected Breathwork at The Guest House

Our treatment program incorporates therapeutic modalities that are designed to give equal attention to healing your mind, body and spirit. We strongly encourage our guests to participate in a meditation-based practice like conscious connected breathwork during their stay with us; we are confident in the benefits of these methods thanks to years of research supporting their use in treating psychological troubles. You will work one-on-one with one of our therapists who are specially trained for this role. Each session consists of an exploration of the client’s belief system to focus their breathwork exercise, followed by the breathwork itself which is safely guided by a therapist.

We are committed to providing cutting-edge treatments and therapies administered by highly trained and qualified therapists. Our staff is composed of carefully selected providers who specialize in each of our therapeutic modalities, which have also been chosen with great care to give our guests a host of treatment options to find what works best for them. We know that every one of our guests requires an individualized plan for their recovery, and we are dedicated to ensuring we can provide for unique needs and concerns. Along with conscious connected breathwork and other yoga and meditation options, we offer therapies including:

  • Individual and group therapy
  • Cinema therapy
