Judy Crane, LMHC-QS, CAP, ICADC, CSAT

Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer

Judy’s leadership is guided by over three decades of experience working in both residential and outpatient settings. She is a Certified Addiction Professional in Florida, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, a Certified Hypnotist, certified in EMDR and an internationally recognized specialist for healing trauma and PTSD. Over the last 15 years, she has developed one of the country’s leading treatment centers specializing in trauma/PTSD and addiction recovery as well as spearheaded Spirit2Spirit Healing, a new movement in experiential and holistic therapies. She is a sought-after speaker and presenter on PTSD and sexual trauma resolution, and she currently also serves as a consultant for many of the country’s leading treatment centers to train their clinical teams.

In 2010, Judy was chosen to receive the Administrator of the Year Award from the American College of Addiction Treatment Administrators for her significant achievement in the field of addiction treatment administration. In 2012, she was selected as the Behavioral Healthcare Champion in recognition of her life-changing therapy, services and support to Americans who suffer from mental health and substance abuse disorders.

Judy believes that persistent addictions, chronic relapse and repetitive self-sabotage are often the results of unresolved trauma. Healing occurs when we identify the “root cause” of addiction. She often says, “You have to unravel the trauma story to understand the addiction story and write the recovery story.”

For Judy, The Guest House Ocala has been a labor of love. Its creation is a combination of every healing moment within her lifelong service and commitment to others. Her continued work is motivated by both unrelenting vigor and fixed determination. Here, her passion and purpose have collided.

Andrew Beyer, LMHC

Clinical Director

Andrew has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field working in various roles. He specializes in substance use disorders, trauma treatment, and other mental health challenges. He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, holding a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

Throughout his career, Andrew has served as a counselor, clinical supervisor, and clinical director. He provides clinical supervision and support to teams focusing on trauma treatment, co-occurring disorders, and evidence-based interventions. His expertise, experience, leadership, compassion, and commitment are essential to the collaborative therapeutic process that addresses the numerous challenges people face. Andrew is thrilled to be the Clinical Director at The Guest House Ocala.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family at the beach, playing with his dogs, playing pickleball, and trying his best not to embarrass himself on the golf course.

Marla Shaul, LMHC, CTT3

Clinical Lead

Marla graduated from Georgia State University with her bachelor’s degree in psychology. As one struggling from unresolved trauma and addiction she found her passion for helping others walk through their healing journey, which she then turned into a profession by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and then received her certification as a level III Trauma Therapist.

Marla is a member of the American Counseling Association, The Florida Counseling Association, and The National Society for Leadership and Success. She has worked in multiple areas of mental health, including a substance abuse program within a prison, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings.

Marla believes in helping others explore and resolve the core of their pain to find healing. Her direct and nurturing approach invites those to be a participant in their own healing story. In her spare time Marla enjoys playing the cello, writing, and is a movie and book enthusiast. You can also find her spending time with her husband who is a professional photographer at the NASA and SpaceX Rocket launches.

Deidra Lockhart, MA, LMHC, C-Eagala, CSAT

Lead Therapist

Deidra Lockhart, MA, LMHC, C-Eagala, CSAT, was born and raised in Illinois and has been working in this field for 15+ years in residential and outpatient settings with both the adult and adolescent population. Having had recent experience in PATH Equine therapy, she is EAGALA Certified.

She attended the University of Illinois at Springfield and received her Master’s Degree in Human Services, with a concentration in Alcohol and Substance Abuse. She has recently completed a second Master’s program in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. After Deidra’s personal journey with addiction and recovery, she knew her path was paved to help others with her experiences. One of her many talents is community organization through volunteer work where she has initiated many neighborhood activities including environmental clean-up and work with the homeless. Prior to receiving her Master’s, Deidra worked as a case manager for HIV/AIDS and was involved in working with victims of human trafficking.

Deidra operates from the heart and manages to balance her work life by spending time with her 17 grandchildren. She loves to help women who are struggling and has dedicated her life to this work not only in the treatment field but also in her personal life.

Najia Kurdi, MA, LMHC, LMFT, CTT, C-EAGALA, CSAT

Therapist

Najia received her master’s degree in mental health and marriage and family counseling from Webster University. She went on to become a certified trauma therapist and also received certification as an equine therapist from the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association. She recently received her Florida licensure as a mental health counselor.

Since attaining her degree, she has worked in residential settings as a trauma and addiction therapist helping clients discover their own healing powers using an eclectic and individualized approach. Najia is fluent in American Sign Language and has also worked in outpatient settings with deaf clients.

Mark Rosen, MA, Level 2 Reiki Healer

Mark Rosen was born and raised in White Plains, New York and has been working in the field for over 12 years in residential and outpatient settings with the adult population. Before receiving his Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, Mark worked in a variety of roles in the treatment setting as  Case Manager, Program Director, and Clinical Outreach Coordinator. After working through his own struggles with addiction and trauma, Mark realized that his true calling was to work with individuals with trauma and substance use issues and his heart lies in working as a Therapist.  His goal in treatment is to assist others in realizing that each person has the ability to heal from within and believes that everyone is capable of healing and living life in their true selves. He believes that each person requires an individualized approach in their process and he operates from his heart while bringing unbridled passion and dedication to each person that his struggling.

Vanessa Hinklein, LMHC, MCAP, EMDR Trained, ART Certified

Therapist

Vanessa is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is certified as a Masters level Certified Addictions Professional, Enhanced Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and level two Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She specializes in working with clients who suffer from trauma, PTSD, substance use disorders and family dysfunction.

She received her undergraduate degree from St. Leo University in St. Leo, Florida and her graduate degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She received her ART certification from Rosenzweig Center for Rapid Recovery and her EMDR training from the EMDR Institute, Inc.

Vanessa has worked with mental health, and substance use clients for over 20 years in the state of New York as a Clinical Director of an outpatient substance abuse program and in the state of Florida in many roles through the 5th Circuit, in the community, the courts and the state institutions working with both children and adults to guide them towards healing.

Vanessa enjoys the outdoors and is an avid angler. She enjoys being on the boat, traveling with her husband, and seeing new places.

Victoria Hughes, LMHC

Therapist

Victoria draws upon a lifetime of experiences, from being a creative arts director to doing volunteer work in education, mental health, wellness, and child & family services.

After several mentors urged her to utilize her innate intuition and consider becoming a therapist, she completed a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Springfield College in Springfield, MA. She went on to obtain advanced training in Integral Breath Therapy and achieved certification in Adventure Therapy and Yoga 12 Step Recovery.

She draws upon her sensibilities as an artist to create a unique treatment experience for each person she cares for, the goal always being to shepherd them through the wounds of their trauma and addiction experiences, leaving them grounded in their true selves.

Guests that work with Victoria find her to be deeply caring, with a tremendous sense of humor and unflagging dedication to their wellbeing.

Sylvia Miller, MS, CCTSI, RMHCI

Therapist

Born in the UK, Sylvia moved from NYC to Florida over 20 years ago. As a mother of two sons with severe autism, she founded a nonprofit to develop inclusive programs across multiple counties, raising awareness and advocating for individuals with disabilities. Her efforts earned her two gubernatorial appointments, leading statewide and national systems change.

For over a decade, Sylvia provided emotional and behavioral support to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and developmental disabilities, training families, caregivers, and professionals.

Eight years ago, she transitioned to mental health, earning a master’s in professional counseling from Grand Canyon University. A certified trauma specialist, she began her career as a trauma therapist in an eating disorder program before serving as a mental health counselor in a women’s state prison. Drawing from personal experience, she fosters resilience and self-confidence, integrating various therapeutic modalities with real-world insight to build strong, trusting client relationships.

Janet Allen, MDiv, MAPC

Clinical Aid Supervisor

Janet was born in Gainesville, Florida and raised in historic Micanopy. She has a passion for the history and beauty that Florida offers. Janet was a pastor in Virginia and Florida for almost 25 years and decided to get her counseling degree in order to support individuals in their search for hope and sobriety. Janet received her Master’s of Divinity and Master’s in Pastoral Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky, and Orlando, Florida. Janet loves to share her experience, strength, and hope with those struggling with addiction and mental health. Janet started working in the industry in 2018 and started as a Behavioral Health Tech, eventually becoming a supervisor for a team of Behavioral Health Techs. She started at The Guest House in 2021. Janet started as a Behavioral Health Tech, or what we lovingly call “OG.” She did her internship at The Guest House and has been recently promoted to Clinical Aid Supervisor, helping therapists behind the scenes. Janet has numerous jobs that she performs but believes her greatest job is meeting guests when they admit, hearing their stories, and providing a safe place for them to be vulnerable and honest with themselves and others.

Janet has been married to her husband for 44 years. She has two grown children and four grandchildren. She has two rescue dogs that are her constant companions when she is not working. Janet loves to work in her yard, growing beautiful plants and flowers, especially camellias and daylilies. Her favorite place to be is on her kayak with her husband, paddling down Silver River Run.

Ashtyn Fairchild, MSW

Ashtyn Fairchild, a proud Ocala, Florida native holds a bachelor's degree in public health from Florida Gulf Coast University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Central Florida. It was during her undergraduate studies that she discovered a deep passion for mental health advocacy and breaking the stigma surrounding it. With experience in addiction recovery, trauma-informed care, and mental health court, Ashtyn brings a compassionate and dynamic approach to her work. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, she is deeply committed to creating inclusive, affirming spaces where all individuals feel safe, seen, and supported. Known for her creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, Ashtyn empowers her clients to show up authentically and embrace who they are. Outside of work, she enjoys unwinding with her cats and spending quality time with her loved ones. 

Holly Harris, MA

Therapist

Holly has 30 years of experience as a Mental Health Therapist serving all populations through group, individual and family therapy, with a decade of experience in trauma treatment and recovery.  Being a native Floridian, she received a Masters of Arts Degree from the University of Central Florida in 1995 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stetson University, with multiple honors, in 1986.
Throughout her career, Holly has worked in various inpatient, residential and outpatient settings to include Psychiatric Inpatient stabilization for adults and children, Juvenile Justice prevention, independent living,  substance abuse, Eating Disorder and trauma treatment programs..
Holly's special skills and enthusiasm show in her original and experiential programming to include trauma informed meditations, therapeutic drumming and mindfulness, and Inner Child programming.
As a professional Native American flute musician and performer, with multiple albums and music awards, Holly also brings her passion for music and her Clinical experience together in her groups, creating powerful  vibrational healing experiences for our Guests.

Renee Ciceran, MS, CAP, ICADC,CTT

Therapist

Renee comes to The Guest House Ocala with 20 years of experience in mental health and addictions counseling. She holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and is a Certified Addictions Professional in Florida, as well as an Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She was one of the first Certified Trauma Therapists under Spirit 2 Spirit and also has extensive training through IITAP in sex addiction.

Renee has worked in both the private and corporate sectors and has experience in case management, admissions, discharge planning, counseling, and family counseling. She recently left the corporate world after 11 years as a Utilization Review Director, fighting on the front lines and advocating for clients with their insurance carriers to maximize benefits and secure the coverage they deserve.

Renee’s personal experience with recovery fuels her drive, dedication, and gratitude for this work. Gravitation toward an individualized approach with clients, she believes that while traditional talk therapy is vitally important, it may not work for everyone. When meeting a client where they are, it is essential to learn what works best for them. Renee has a passion for experiential therapies such as equine therapy, holistic breathwork, ropes courses, art therapy, and music therapy.

Omega Green is a Therapist and Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern with a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of West Florida and a Master of Social Work from Walden University. Omega has extensive experience across several levels of care. She has served in diverse roles such as Therapist, Case Manager, and Program Manager, allowing her to develop a well-rounded understanding of clinical practice, program operations, and client advocacy. She is also EMDR trained and passionate about trauma-informed care.

Omega believes that healing begins with knowledge, authenticity, and connection. She encourages her clients to become empowered through self-awareness and education, helping them build emotional resilience and reclaim their voice. Omega’s personal journey of growth and healing deeply informs her work, allowing her to offer both clinical insight and genuine empathy to those she serves.

Omega approaches her work with compassion, openness, and a belief that transformation is possible for everyone. She considers it an honor to walk alongside individuals as they heal, grow, and discover their inner strength.
