Dr. Georgianna is the founder of The Centre for Psychotherapy, the Saggio Institute, and the International Institute for Adolescent Process Addiction. Dr. Georgianna started the The Centre for Psychotherapy in 1993 with the objective of providing experienced marriage and family therapy to the communities of North Orange County, California. Dr. Georgianna has expanded his practice to provide services to clients throughout Southern California and many parts of the United States.
Dr. Georgianna specializes in treating trauma, adolescents, young adults, young couples, and families struggling with issues ranging from depression to substance abuse and dependence, trauma, sexual and multiple addictions. Dr. Georgianna is well versed in treating a myriad of issues. Dr. Georgianna has twenty years experience in working with individuals, couples, and families struggling to overcome substance use, abuse, and dependency issues. Dr. Georgianna has completed training specializing him to work with and treating sexual addictions (CSAT) and multiple addictions (CMAT) and trauma treatment (CTT-S). All of this is combined with his extensive education, CA state MFT license, and doctor’s degree in psychology coupled with decades of experience treating individuals, and families struggling with some of life’s most difficult emotional and psychological problems.
Dr. Georgianna’s experience includes over a decade of directorial experience with several chemical dependency, treatment, and recovery programs and trauma focused programs throughout the United States. Furthermore, he developed and administrated the Juvenile Delinquency Drug Program working concurrently with probation, juvenile courts, sheriff’s department and Whittier School District. Craig also has worked on the lock adolescent unit of College Hospital in Cerritos for Spirit Family Services in the Whittier/La Habra/Santa Fe Springs area. Dr. Georgianna is a Court Appointed Therapist, for the Orange County Courts in Orange County Ca. Outside of private practice and community work, Dr. Georgianna has provided relationship and communication training to numerous well known businesses, hospitals, and government agencies, including Marriott Corporation. Idaho Department of Correction, CHOC Hospital California, Whittier Union High School District, City of Norwalk, City of La Habra, Marriott Corp, and Quest, Boshart Engineering. He has trained surgeons and nursing staff in the operating room for Associated Health Services in Washington, Colombia Hospital, Lutheran General Illinois, Elmhurst Hospital Chicago, AMS Hospital Ohio, Stanford University Hospital, Kaiser Hospital Fresno California, and many others.
Craig has provided workshops focused on adolescent addiction treatment for the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), PTA’s, and mutable religious and non profit organization as well as training therapist in South Africa on adolescent trauma. Dr. Georgianna received both his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and his Masters in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from California State University, Long Beach. Dr. Georgianna received his Doctorate of Psychology, Magna Cum Laude from California Southern University. Dr. Georgianna has published literature that has been published internationally. Craig has recently published the book “Hyperstimulation” a book for parents on addressing adolescent gaming and sexual addictions. He is often requested to participate in various training sessions, conferences, and workshops throughout the United States, as well as internationally.
Dr. Georgianna and his wife are the parents of 2 children and reside in California and Utah. Both of Dr. Georgianna Children work in the field of Psychology, His son is the director of the John Volken Welcome Home Recover Ranch in Gilbert Arizona, and his Daughter is a behavioral specialist at a residential facility for Adolescence female.
