Najia received her master’s degree in mental health and marriage and family counseling from Webster University. She went on to become a certified trauma therapist and also received certification as an equine therapist from the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association. She recently received her Florida licensure as a mental health counselor.
Since attaining her degree, she has worked in residential settings as a trauma and addiction therapist helping clients discover their own healing powers using an eclectic and individualized approach. Najia is fluent in American Sign Language and has also worked in outpatient settings with deaf clients.
